Ted Plattenburg is Managing Director of WAVERLY PARTNERS, based in Cincinnati. He has more than 18 years of experience recruiting C-suite and other senior executives for hospitals and healthcare systems, nonprofit organizations and corporate clients nationwide.

He has served CEOs as well as Boards of Directors/Trustees in the nonprofit sector that includes hospitals and healthcare institutions, as well as social service, cultural arts and public sector organizations. Ted has also worked with Fortune 1000 and mid-market manufacturing and service companies. Additionally, Ted has worked on key positions spawned from a one-of-a-kind collaborative agreement requiring outstanding credentials in diversity search work. His clients have come to appreciate his personable style and candid, thoughtful counsel.

Prior to joining WAVERLY PARTNERS, Ted was Executive Vice President with DHR International and earlier, a principal with a Cincinnati-based boutique executive search firm. He began his professional career as an organizational development consultant and director of external recruiting for a management firm with offices across the Midwest.

Ted holds a Bachelor's Degree from Wittenberg University and an advanced language degree from Lund University, Sweden. He is a member of Cincinnatus and advises community boards on board member recruitment, compensation, recruiting and the retaining of key personnel. Ted’s tennis accomplishments have allowed him to compete internationally and he currently coaches a high school varsity tennis team.
