Matt Clemens is a Managing Director and Principal of WAVERLY PARTNERS and is based in the firm's Cleveland office.

He has more than 22 years of executive search, recruiting and operational experience. Matt's executive search assignments span CEO, President, CFO and upper-management to senior C-level executive and Vice President roles for:

Matt has worked with small to Fortune 500 public, private companies and private equity firms in areas of industrial and consumer manufacturing, business services and distribution/logistics portfolio companies. Specific industries include: business services, industrial distribution, machinery/equipment, aerospace, instrumentation, test & measurement, automation and controls, life sciences, fluid power and motion control, oil & gas, smart grid, power generation, electrical transmission and distribution, transportation/logistics, automotive/heavy duty truck, building/home products and refrigeration/HVAC.

Prior to joining WAVERLY PARTNERS, Matt was a Director at Christian & Timbers, one of the nation's top technology executive search firms, and Stratford Group, a top 20 executive search firm. Earlier, he served as Director for the Professional Recruiting division of Spherion Corporation, a Fortune 500 human resources consulting company. Matt began his career in a series of sales and operations management assignments with General Electric and Roadway Express Corporation.

Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Villanova University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
