Art DePompei is Managing Director in the Cleveland, Ohio office.

He has over 30 years of experience with industrial, manufacturing and service corporations, with the latest 15 years of his corporate life successfully serving as Chief Human Resources Officer, corporate officer and executive committee member. In these roles Art has gained extensive first-hand experience working with CEOs and Boards of Directors on the identification, assessment, selection and development of senior level management talent. As an extension of this, his business expertise includes organizational design and development, human capital strategy, executive compensation, succession planning and management, mergers and acquisitions, culture transformation, and labor relations. Art’s professional experience and background enhances the necessary partnership with clients in fulfilling their senior level management talent acquisition, development and retention needs.

Prior to joining Waverly Partners, Art was Senior Vice President, Human Resources for The Andersons, Inc., a $5.6 billion diversified corporation. Earlier he served as the top HR leader for Degussa Corporation, Degussa Construction Chemicals, and Teledyne Fluid Systems & Specialty Products.

Art earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management and Labor Relations from Cleveland State University. He is a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Certified Compensation Professional. Additionally, Art is a member of the executive and compensation committees of the board of directors of St. Luke’s Hospital in northwest Ohio.
